A very popular student at the ninja academy, Yamanaka Ino is a good fighter and is considered to be the top female ninja among her batch by her sensei.
When she was young, popular Ino found Sakura Haruno lonely and helped her overcome her insecurity by introducing her to other students in the academy. Soon, both of them became good friends after that. However when both of them discovered that they both liked the same guy; Ino and Sakura become bitter rivals in love to see whoever can win Sasuke Uchiha over first.
Loud and tactless, Ino is also quite vain with her looks and enjoys making fun of Chouji’s weight and teasing Shikamaru for not having a girlfriend. However, when she chose to, Yamanaka Ino can also be rather supportive and thoughtful to her friends.
In battle, Ino uses her clan specialty jutsu called the Shintenshin no Jutsu to control the mind of her opponents and take over their body.
