Asuma collapses, mortally wounded in Naruto Shippuden 80 “Last Words”. Shortly thereafter Ino, Chouji, Aoba and Raido appear as the team’s backup. They are unable to defeat the Akatsuki members, but the Akatsuki Leader orders the two back to seal the Two Tails. Hidan and Kakuzu retreat, warning the group that they will return. Ino tries to treat Asuma, but fails, as Hidan’s attacks had damaged vital organs. Asuma leaves advice for his students, mentioning that he now knows who the “king” that the ninjas Konoha must protect is. As he smokes a final cigarette, he dies of his injuries.

I remember the last LEGENDARY DEBATE about Sasuke vs Neji….Me you(Madara), Pein, & Kev clearly explained that Neji would win…
But I don’t think Kakashi will die but we all know he will be beaten….If Tsunade dies… Kakashi is clearly the next Hokage as Jariya and Tsunade suggested

I agree with 6th. the signs that neji could beat saskue were there early n the series.think about it rock lee could beat saskue but neji could beat rock lee. of course the conditions have changed but most shows (fiction or non-fiction) has the hero as an under dog but the supporting characters in terms of strength remains the same. now there is no absolute way of knowing who would win now that saskue has a major part in the story. all that we can do is wait on the writer to do what ever. he may want saskue to win or he might be a neji fan.

Well if sasuke beat naruto and naruto beat neji but neji beat sasuke then it would be hard to tell who would win in a fight between sasuke and neji. (refering to the fight naruto and sasuke had the day sasuke left)

yur right neji wouldve won back then but at this point im sry to say sasuke would win. neji never got the recognition he deserved. altough neji iz strong sasuke would win. sasuke has many techniques that he would use and even tough neji haz great defenses he is too weak to fight someone of that caliber. but it is sure that in a fight between shikamaru and neji , neji would surely win. And the Author said in the earlyer books that sasuke iz his favorite and most developed character

back then neji was alot stronger than most kidz. now neji is a chunin. if neji were to fight saskue there would be a few things that happen. but most probably orochimaru would come 2 save saskue. neji has probably stronger physical attacks then sasuke but sasuke has some stupid crazy things he would do. also… the author wouldnt make hiz favorite character die (which iz sasuke.)!!!!!!!

Get your facts right Neji is a jounin not a chunin… and Neji has gotten alot stronger as well as Sasuke! Neji can out smart Sauske…Sauske wouldnt be able to copy or follow Neji’s movements…I believe Sauske no longer has the curse mark…and Orochimaru is no longer inside Sasuke..Remember the fight between Itachi and Sasuke…

One thing i need to say is that sasuke is not faster than neji, he just has the ability to use short range teleportation (we went through this a while ago) this is the reason why he can’t hit anyone while moving at this speed. Neji on the other hand is lighting quick and can move and hit his target from any direction. Need I remind people sasuke is starting to go blind… He still has yet to impress me in a battle the 8 tailed jin just finished whipping his ass.

Remember the fight with Deidara and Sasuke. Sasuke can c wut an enemy can do and hes like shikamaru becuz he starts evaluating the enemy the minute he starts fighting him/her. Neji wouldnt lose that easyly but u hav to remember that Neji doesnt know about sasukes new techniques and how hes changed. Sasuke knows a little about Neji and he can put those calculations in order to fight him. In the end Sasuke would win becuz thats how the story would go on but i dnt think neji would die. i no about the 8 tails soo some1 can beat sasuke but sasuke iz just way 2 powerful to die by some1 like Neji. It Doesnt seem like Kakashi would become Hokage even tough Tsunade suggested with her talk with jiraya. Kakashi doesnt seem like the Hokage type. AND hes a little 2 weak to become Hokage. But i guess since he was trained by the fourth it would make a little sense. I dnt kmnow why ppl wana c kakashi without hiz mask. it makes him more interesting with it. in one chapter they almost show hiz whole face while hes reading hiz book.

The chunin exams happened long ago and alot has changed. Nejis alot stronger and so is sasuke and naruto. The naruto sasuke fight was just lucky for sasuke becuz if naruto wouldve gotten at least one more tail out, he wouldve beat sasukes @$$.

Umm you should see the fights that sasuke has fought. he beat Deidara and Itachi. Sure he got messed up in the Killer Bee fight but Sasuke has many new techniques. Neji does too but Neji can`t beat Sasuke. It just wouldnt happen like that in the story and Sasuke would Beat Neji. Sasuke wouldnt beat him in like a few seconds but he can see his oppenents attacks. also Sasuke can use genjitsu and fool with Nejis head. In the end Neji would lose (maybe not die but…) becuz thats how the story would go and becuz Sasuke is stronger than Neji

I cannot believe that this Sasuke vs Neji has really started up all over again. This thing was buried about six months ago. It was all approved and processed back then that Neji would have beaten Sasuke. So then the newbs come back and say… “Well, Sasuke doesn’t just have ‘Short-Range Teleportation’ anymore, he stole Storm’s abilities from X-Men because he can control thunder clouds. Not only that, but Sasuke once had the Cursed Seal on top of that.” Then it was stated that Itachi, implanted his Doujutsu into his brother, which in fact makes Sasuke that much stronger. Then Sasuke, awakening his own Mangekyou… made the news believe that he was probably the strongest character in the series huh? Guess what.
It’s not happening. Even with this Mangekyou Sharingan… with his borrowed, stolen, charity-given powers… He is still not as strong as you think. He is still clearly not as strong as Itachi was in his prime, or even while Itachi was near death. I heard someone say that he beat Naruto at the Valley of the End… Ok granted he stood the victor… but only because Naruto couldn’t bring himself to kill his best friend. You really think that the Cursed Seal’s powers exceed that of the Kyuubi’s? If so, you’re really on drugs. As far as Neji goes, if Sasuke (Genin with all types of Kishimoto given abilities) even now… (who is gradually appearing to be going blind) actually got into a confrontation with Neji (Jounin/Genius) it wouldn’t be pretty for Sasuke, no matter how much teleporting he does, he’d still lose. Next thing I’m gonna hear now is… Sasuke at this point is stronger than Naruto is using the Kyuubi and Sage’s chakra. If so… that means Sasuke’s more powerful than Pein. It would mean he’s probably stronger or on par with Madara… It would mean he’s the God of the series…. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way folks. Time to snap back into reality.
Just because this guy is Kishi’s favorite, doesn’t mean you little fangirls can write off every other chracter in the series and automatically assume that Sasuke is the “End-all-be-all” in the Naruto world… Bigger battles await him… more worse than Killer Bee blowing holes in his chest and stomach. He’s gonna get to fight more powerful opponents. And as you have noticed, his team who i call Team Life Support isn’t strong to continually save his monkey ass…. MADARA is done.

You do realize that spitting out the facts to these people mean absolutely nothing because when a fan girl’s mind is made up, there’s is nothing that anybody can do to change it, not even the truth. But LMAO at Sasuke failing at the Amaterasu though. Itachi would’ve been better off implanting the Amaterasu into Naruto… although, knowing Kishi, he probably gave Naruto “Susanoo” which would make no sense. But the author seems to do things like that at times. Oh yeah, Kakashi is seemingly realizing how to counter Pein. Not even Jiraiya find it out this quickly. Kakashi is reading for his counter-attack in 423. I don’t think he’ll use “Kamui” though, but I may be wrong.

Wish I knew a good website to read the manga. I haven’t been in to it that long though, so I’m not very knowledgeable in the subject of this. All I can say is that unless they do end up in a fight it’s a pointless argument, and if they do fight then we won’t need to argue anymore as the answer will be made undeniably clear.
