Neji is and will always be, a supporting character. Yeah, the Byakugan was what the Sharingan derived from, but Kishimoto obviously thinks very highly of it, because he continues to go in depth with that Doujutsu. By the way, Neji’ll never be on an Uchiha’s level.

Although your words were chosen well you still have missed the fact that from the very introduction of neji, the byakugan was established as the stronger of the two eyes, it’s not a question of when it was said but why it was said. I don’t think anyone here can argue with kishimoto about his own creation. yes sasuke and naruto are the main characters, they have their rivalry what would be the sense of throwing neji in the mix. he does take a back seat to their situation but skill and power wise ” An overwhelming talent, and a silent passion. Together these assets have created an unequalled shinobi” that was the description of neji by kishimoto.

oh and by the way madara was beaten by the fourth hokage who had no special blood line limit, he was just a pure genious. I respect genious and hard word over borrowed power any day. I think sasuke will never be a great shinobi because he is consumed with hatred and sought power the wrong way, I think that is the purpose that sasuke serves now, to make clear that point.

You make alot of sense in regard to your the power of the Byakugan. But what I’m basically saying is. Neji is respected highly in his village and yes his eye is supposedly the superior of the Sharingan, but.. Hybrids are usually the ones with the potential to surpass the predecessor. Which is why I think Kishimoto keeps unveiling backstories to the history of the Sharingan. I think he is meaning for it to surpass the original, just like most hybrids do in any anime. And as far as Sasuke is concerned, he was originally tagged a genius just like Neji, but obivously chose a different road for his ascension to greater power. As far as Yondaime is concerned, like it was stated, he was the greatest shinobi who ever lived. So I don’t believe Madara could stand a chance. Which is why he summoned something which couldn’t be destroyed to destroy him and that village.

And if you respect Genius and hard work so much, then you should be rooting for Naruto instead of Neji, who is the destined child. The one who’s power is supposed to be strong enough to start the ninja revolution. So naturally he’ll be stronger than his father, because as stated by Kakashi, “it’s only natural for the current generation to surpass the previous ones. It’s the neverending cycle of life”.

I like naruto his character is kick ass, in a battle he can take a major beating and still find a way to out smart his opponent. I respect characters like lee, shino, shikamaru, neji, naruto, kakashi and so on. Sasuke doesn’t match up with these guys in character, and skill wise yes he would give neji trouble in a match because he has all this borrowed strength but, he would not beat neji. in the words of kakashi ” you can train your body, but you can not train your organs”. sasuke was recognized as a genious yes but kakashi said ” frankly our sasuke doesn’t stand a chance against this guy” he also said he didn’t even know a guy like neji existed. he was always a genious and is now a joning becauswe he is a master, and as neji said he is not satisfied with just stopping there. this issue will never be resolved until the fight actually happens lol

We agree on one thing, this won’t be resolved until they actually fight, if they ever do in this case. I truly doubt that they will though. But the ascension of the both of them in the past two and a half years has been remarkable though. Yes, granted Neji has become a Jonin and has pretty much passed his team and the entirety of the “Rookie 9″ for that matter. But it was also specified that Sasuke’s training was greatly enhanced while under Orochimaru because of possible experiments and the possibility of learning many forbidden jutsu. With that being said, he’s alot stronger than he should be with just that 2 1/2 years of training. But anything for power right? Since you defend the Hyuuga clan so much. why don’t you change your name from Pein. I mean, it’s only naturally for me to back up the Uchiha right? There was a reason they were the military force in Konohagakure. They were looked at as the absolute best in that village. I doubt there are any deep, dark secrets with the Byakugan. Regardless of the Bloodline limit, the epitome of a shinobi is an elite Uchiha. Case closed. I finished my statement, with Hyuuga who? I don’t think you should respond until Neji gets some more screentime. Which might be never. But you’re a pretty bright guy Pein. So you should know the pecking order in Naruto. There are the Uchiha’s… and then there’s everybody else. Besides the main character, obviously. And if Naruto’s kick ass, then what does that make my student Itachi?

neji is the Broly (DBZ) of naruto (according to the constant argument between who’s the best ninja)..he was the guy naruto beat with fluke move, only used to make it seem like naruto good heart overcomes any obstacle. Just like when Goku beat broly with same fluke move to prove the same concept. On top of that neji is a supporting character vs the main characters that sasuke and naruto are but that doesn’t mean anything. In every anime there will be a great supporting only used to show you that other great talent exist besides for the evident ones. Neji is that character. But remember one thing neji moves are instant death that doesn’t need a DBZ charge up to do unlike the 2 main characters, so just know the time it takes to charge up you could be dead if u really want to address facts of fighting. Itachi on the other hand is my favorite character on the show, not that it has anything to do with his sharingan its just he reminds of Sesshomaru (from Inuyasha) because he doesn’t show much reaction he just comes through and does heavy damage and is quickly recognized as the “real deal” as he should.

Since the argument is about Bya vs. Shar its only fair to say that sharingan is the popular eye not to say it’s stronger. But from what Gai said during the neji vs hinata fight its boring to watch but it’s extremely powerful. The sharingan was easier to plot a story about only because the moves are “way too fake” so it creates an unlimited amount theatrics to purposely amuse viewers. Basically you can’t have much story talking about an eye that sees chakra points that also can’t be duplicated. Neji’s byakugan is suppose to be seen as the more mature serious eye..as oppose to the sharingan which is very much of an animated attribute thats why only very few of the uchihas exist; the eye wouldn’t be much to talk about if everyone had it. Getting back on track, if Itachi never came into the picture the sharingan wouldn’t of had this much buzz going around, he bascially made everyone like the sharingan( if I may add, more than the byakugan) . Without itachi, the sharingan wouldn’t be so popular based on how sasuke and kakashi was using it during the show. So let’s face it..the only reason why people are saying sasuke could beat neji is not even based on sasuke’s ability, its based on what people seen Itachi do (hoping that sasuke would have become something like his brother). But dont get it twisted Itachi just a nice character that happened to have the sharingan just add twist to the show, but he has moves or abilities other people cant do, like his speed at creating clones or doing jutsus. Plus his amaterasu (black fire) is not even a sharingan move it’s a pure demon move, he has superior abilities outside the use of the sharingan so dont forget that.

Dont get me wrong i feel everyones opinion on which respective character they like, cuz lets face it you need other characters to compare them too to help you like who you like. But in all reality lets face it if neji went on a killing spree hitting you only once and u died which he has the ability to do, everyone would on here be a different song. More importantly if Bruce Banner was killed instantly instead of being beaten up there would be no incredible hulk..so that goes to show.. characters that have to charge or need a loading time to do hot moves, would loose to anymore who has the ability kill you instantly without a wasted second.

Itachi’s skill set is on a totally different level compared to the other aforementioned characters. Him pretty much versus anybody you can think of is usually a victory in the column of Itachi. Itachi’s power and raw speed are pretty much unparalleled. But as the story continues to unfold, just like with Naruto, Sasuke has the same infinite potential that his rival possesess. Which made the Battle at the Valley of the End all the more special, yet ironic. They are pretty much the leaders of the new school to speak. Now, Neji is a strong adversary and probably could dehabilitate most people in a single blow, which is pretty awesome but. When you put a genius up against someone with infinite potential, even when the odds are stacked against the dropout or the failure to speak, things don’t always go as planned. All of the characters mentioned are decent in their own right and everybody has the right to voice their opinion. But if Sasuke has the possibility or potential to surpass his older brother who is viewed as almost some type of God, it’s only right to say that he’ll be able to defeat almost everyone. No matter who it is.

You’re right if sasuke can find some more power to steal yes he will beat just about anybody lol just kidding but you get my point, he hasn’t shown much potential he’s down the same road as orochimaru with the exception of orochimaru was already highly skilled before he went on a power searching spree. Sasuke does not compare to itachi in anyway shape or form besides the fact that they are related. so sasuke is going to become an actual monster if itachi doesn’t kill him first. As of right now I will not give in to the idea that sasuke would or ever could beat a shinobi as skilled as neji. but if your argument is that itachi would beat neji then there you have a solid argument.

M. Uchiha u must of not read my lucid comment the way i wanted it to be understood. Loading time moves are useless if someone can kill u instantly without a wasted second. Let me use less euphemism this time…if a sniper has u on target, do u have time to set up ya rocket launcher (or any other assembled gun), even though the rocket launcher is clearly the stronger weapon.

I clearly understand where the both of you are coming from. I understood you the first time around Voice. As far as Pein is concerned, I think it’s pretty muvh a foregone conclusion and a very valid point that Neji couldn’t beat Itachi. Regardless of if he can kill someone in a second or not. And besides, if the current arc actually plays out and Itachi gets Sasuke’s eyes, then I don’t see anymore point in calling Pein a God, if Itachi’s powers would surpass Madara’s himself. My point is this, because obviously some people must either be blind or just totally oblivious to Sasuke’s potential and Itachi’s natural ability and power. Neji is good. Very good in fact. But as far as the future is concerned and as of right now, Sasuke is slightly better. But I do hope Itachi does become stronger than Madara. And a sniper can kill whoever he wants and snipe whoever he pleases. but there is always, always… somebody better. I.E. Sasuke (Neji).

Okay I don’t put sasuke and Itachi in the same category. And abut your Itachi Pein comment that’s another argument in and of itself, I mean Pein beat jiraya (may have killed him still not sure), jiraya was the fourth’s sensei, the fourth beat madara, Itachi said he would surpass madara if he got the eye but that has yet to be known. So as i said different argument. but back to sasuke, his potential is doomed as I will place him in a category below orochimaru just because their paths are similiar. Itachi is super fast but neji is no slow poke, sasuke is having trouble with speed and being out manuvered and out smarted which has plagued him his whole life. neji is a genious how do you out manuver out smart a deadly genious. yes he is an assasin and a damn good one, sasuke is a monster but nothing to be of concern if you’re good at tactical warfare. neji is just that, i m not even sure if he has a blind spot anymore, i am sure he doesn’t but even so how will sasuke hit that or even figure it out.

How can Sasuke has any problem with speed if he was taught Taijutsu and built up his speed to a level to use the Chidori with no side effects by Kakashi. Even after the time skip he had blinding speed. So that whole notion would have to just be shot down. There’s not really be anyone to really out maneuver Sasuke even though he hasn’t had alot of battles. You’re right about Sasuke being a monster. Even though the Hyuuga clan uses Taijutsu as well, Sasuke’s Taijutsu can be compared to Rock Lee’s even though he’s not as fast. It sure is comparable though. Neji may not have a blind spot, but one thing is for sure, every single ninja has a weakness. Sasuke was born a genius, into a genius clan, into a genius family. He’s the predecssor to possibly the next heir to the Uchiha clan, Itachi. Give respect where it’s due.

1st of all GoD of Voice is always talkin about people charging up??? Yo the Naruto/DBZ comparison was good but that doesn’t mean that DBZ is just like Naruto lolz there is no freaking charging up in Naruto LOLZ.
Have u ever played Naruto shippuden games or payed attention 2 the show??? Everybody starts out with as much chakra they have its not like DBZ where they scream for 5mins 2 increase their powerlevel LoLzz. The only character who somtype of abilitie ( I guess) is Naruto because it takes him time to release the Ninetailed foxes chakra, well u could say it takes time for the Fox trying to break out of Naruto.

Another thing that I noticed was that TOBI said:” Sasuke has almost surpassed Itachis Sharingan, it won’t take much longer for him.”
(I said this 50million times, the Sharingan can read the opponents move so there is no 1hit kill for neji on a Uchiha just like that. If for some reason Neji would ever beat an Uchiha, it would not be that quick for sure, com’on have some common sense Neji can’t just run up on somebody and hit him real quick and then their dead and especially not on an Uchiha plssss)

i like Itachi not sasuke, he may have a taijutsu that is comparable to rock lee’s but rock lee’s taijutsu pales in comparison to neji’s gentle fist which is why rock lee with all his speed and stength and passion can not lay a finger on neji. I am reading the last manga and i see that Itachi’s speed is giving sasuke problems that is why i said what i said. The uchiha clan is a great clan but you can not over look the fact that they are a defeated clan. they are all dead first off with the exception of three. and the strongest of the three who is immortal has been defeated himself (madara) one time by some shinobi that was just a hard working genious, nothing special, no nine tailed fox no snakes no sharigan no byakugan. the uchiha clan may be a great one but not even close to unbeatable. sasuke is the weakest of the three and a very very weak when compared to the other two uchihas. Neji’s clan is alive and well and as sure as i am typing this would not be defeated by two of their own memebers or two of anyone else for that matter. you make some good points but it just doesn’t hold much wieght.

Seems as if you guys really have some outstanding rivalry or in fact some type of hatred for each other. I’m only here to state the facts and my opinions just like everyone else on the forum. Everyone is entitled to their own character. Every character has a story. And we all think that our favorite charcters would beat the other’s up. Realistically though, the Uchihas are legendary as are the Hyuuga’s. I actually did notice the differences between the anime and the manga between Kisame and Team Guy’s fight, so what you brought up was actually true. I guess when it wsa converted to animation, they changed it up some to fill out the alotted time for the episode.

But it was previously stated, that no matter how strong Itachi was at that point, that there was no way possible of him killing that whole clan, which is why he had help….. from yours truly.

look at it this way madara is the founder of the akatsuki doesn’t make him the strongest. I think pein is stronger and madara convinced pein that the akatsuki are working to do something else. I think this is where the real action is going to start pein and madara have conflicting interest itachi and madara have conflicting interests. I would love to see those guys just fight it out. but pein beat jiraya and is also a student of jiraya, we all know madara had an L handed to him by another student of jiraya. it doesn’t matter who you report to that determines skill level in this sort of situation…

If Pein is so strong, why was he ‘ordered’ to capture the Jinchuriki by Madara? I don’t doubt his strength. Yes, Pein may be strong, but I don’t think he’s as powerful as Madara. And it’s kinda cheesy to know that if his secret is revealed in a battle that he’d lose. But the conflict of interest issue actually intrigues me. I do wish to see them battle, so we can see once and for all who is superior, even though at present it seems to be Madara based on his current revelation of his story and background. And as far as this fighting on the forum goes… you guys are never gonna meet each other. You probably live on opposite spectrums of the world. Congratulations u found 1 of my 10% statements that I wasn’t 100% sure of. So maybe Neji hit Kisame. Sorry I should’ve wrote it this way; Neji wasn’t able to really hurt or Injure Kisame. Oh I’m sorry before u start correcting me again Neji wasn’t able to majorly hurt or injure a copy of Kisame whose power was only 30% of the real 1. MY BAD.
Soooo hmmm here are some facts Neji couldn’t really hurt an Akatski with help of 3 other good ninjas, Sasuke on the other hand could kill an Akatsuki by himself without using his full strenght. Now before u start coming back saying
that he used his full strength… I just read the chapters where they fought and at the end of the fight( before Deidara blew himself up) Deidara asked Sasuke what he would’ve done if his risky plan wouldn’t have worked.(I don’t want 2 write down the whole fight u should kno about how Sasuke fought him) Sasuke’s answer 2 that was: I would’ve had to use my “OTHER” technuiqe. That’s the reason why I think he wasn’t using everything he was capable of. U see, I don’t just make things up.
I think to really stand a chance against an Akatsuki by urself is to be a KAGE rank. (Well most of the akatsukis because Shikamaru beat one by himself).
I also think that Sasuke has proven him self to be on a Akatsuki rank. Sorry before someone corrects me again, he has proven himself worthy a Akatsuki. I mean… he did kill one of them and he did defeat Orochimaru.
Now I kno ur prob goin 2 say that he wouldn’t have beat Orchimaru if he had his full strenght but I think he still would’ve beat him. (Before u say anything that’s just my opinion I don’t kno what would’ve happened.
Yes it’s tru that he said that Orochimaru was weakened already but if we look back at sasukes personality he was always the type of person who bragged around. Everybody always ran up 2 him just because he was an Uchiha but he didn’t really want that. He wasn’t the type of person 2 just take advantage of that instead he was bothered being popular. That’s why I think he told his team that he only beat him because he was weak. He just didn’t want 2 brag about having that kind of strenght and he maybe even wanted 2 test his teammates if they would turn against him hearing that.( Again just my opinion)

Reason why is that Itachi said something about Madara not being able to do what he used 2 and that the Ren’ningan is supposly the strongest eye out of all them.

At 1st I was like no freakin way, I mean u do sea that tobi has the sharingan but then my friend told me that there could be a possibilit. Sasuke beat Orochimaru when Orochimaru was terrible weakened. Sasuke beat Deidara using full power. Sasuke actually stated that if his plan failed he’d have to use his “other option”, not other technique. Even though he does have one technique which hasn’t been shown (the one he was about to use on Naruto, Sakura, Tenzou and Sai before Orochimaru stopped him.) Sasuke is no where near the Kage-level rank yet. I don’t think it’s long before he gets there, but he’s definitely not there yet. Yes, the Rinne’gan is the strongest out of all three eyes, but it doesn’t automatically catapult him past Madara. The Fourth is dead. Tobi acting goofy and what not was to cover up the fact that he was actually, ruthless and cold-hearted (Madara). He was trying not to blow his cover for whatever unknown reasons. Tobi isn’t Madara? How is that so when everyone inside the Akatsuki with the exception of Hoshigaki Kisame calls him Madara.

I wasn’t thinkin… I hurried up writing this stuff thinking that there are only 4 rank Genin, CHuunin, Jonin, Kage, but I guess u’d have to include ANBU 2 even though I think there in a different ranking system. Well the point I was trying to make is that ur lvl must be higher than a Jonins 2 beat most of the akatsukis. Even ppl like Kakashi or Gai couldn’t beat an akatsuki

I’m not sure who the strongest villain is right now there is 2 much info missing. 1st I thought Pein was the strongest, then I heard about tobi(madara) and I was like hmmm he prob. is the strongest, but then Itachi said something about Madara not being as strong as he used 2 be.
And also( u guys will prb. laugh) that one black&white dude ( with those green things on his shoulders lol) is freakin scary. He has 2 personalities. That guy is sick man I wouldn’t write him of maybe he is the strongest LOLZZ.
Just my opinion. That dude been having fun spying on people and stuff lolz, I think he is the most mysterious character right now. hmmm and about the strongest around … why not orochimaru
… he left akatsuki cuz he did not need them … and all the akatsuki is searching him and could not find his hideout or catch him 
… sasori had a spy near orochimaru but did not dare to act alone(and he gave the hint to sakura when she saw that theyr team is strong enough to defeat him hoping that they will stop orochimaru from whatever he is plotting + the last episodes … hmmm i wonder, what he is cooking?) … hmmm i dunno to me still it seems that orochimaru is a super villain :)… he killed the hokage :S … hack knows now what he will do

I do respect what ur saying but ur just relying on info from the past. Kakashi did say; “it was said that the byakugan is even better than the sharingan”. That doesn’t mean that it still is. Things change from generation 2 generation dude. There will always be someone better out there. Jutsus and techniques will always surpass others. And I think that at the curren arc. the Sharingan has more power 2 it. Yeah… maybe in the history of naruto ancient years ago the Byakugan was better but not in the current arc.

when you get info thats where it comes from. the past. we`re just stating the facts that kakashi said that and he`s been using the sharingan long before sasuke ever got his. kakashi somehow got his mangekyo sharingan without killing his best friend. yes sasuke is strong now than he was when he was in the leaf but i refuse to believe that neji has done nothing he trains with the highest hyuuga clan members. it all really because this anime focuses on naruto and sasuke so to the world everyone going to think that sasuke is super strong. now if for a couple of ep. that focus on neji you would realize that he is strong to. i hope i don`t get deleted again. i`ve been getting deleted like crazy and i`m not even threatening anyone.
