Hyuuga Neji, considered one of the strongest and most talented shinobi of the Hyuuga Clan Branch, he has mastered many skills and advance techniques that the clan has to offer at a young age.

Easily recognizable with his clan’s distinctive advance bloodline feature, the “White Eye” or “Byakugan”, the “Byakugan” gains Neji the ability of extra-sensory perception, which gives him penetrating sight and telescopic visions to see the internal chakra circulation system in other beings.
Born in the Hyuuga branch family, Hyuuga Neji grew up bearing the curse of all the Hyuuga branch family clan that is to protect the Main House at all costs even if it means death.
The Hyuuga family is split into two parts: the Main House and the Branch House.
To enable the Hyuuga main house to control the branch family, all members of the branch family are cursed with a seal jutsu with the symbol of “Bird in the Cage” marked into their forehead. When activated, the seal causes pain and kills the bearer of the mark by destroying his or her brain thus keeping the family’s bloodline secrets safe.
And when his father was sacrificed by the Main family to prevent war between Kumo and Konoha, Neji grew up resenting the clan’s system and the Main family of the Hyuuga house that the branch house would always be sacrificing their lives for the Main house.
This chain of events also cause him to believe that one cannot change destiny that what we are born as and our features are decided from birth and there’s no way to escape from it. This belief cause him to have a longstanding rivalry with his teammate Rock Lee who aspires to be a great ninja with no talent whatsoever for ninjutsu or genjutsu.
However all these would change after a defeat by Naruto and following a confession by his Main house uncle that his father had willing sacrifice for the Hyuuga family, Neji is able to abandon this attitude and start believing in his power and ability to change his own fate and destiny. His hatred for the Main house is also lessened and appeared to better accept the Hyuuga “destiny,” and found inner peace.
In battle, with the Byakugan at its potential, Neji is able to see 359° around him and have a total defense against all the attacks approaching him. Combined with his Hakke Rokujuyon Sho (Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms) and Jyuuken (Gentle Fist), Neji is a potent close range fighter, as well as a long-range defender with his Kaiten.
Over the following years Neji would continue to develop his skills and he himself would also be promoted to Jounin. Neji would also become more streamlined with the traditional Hyuuga look donning robes instead of his usual jacket in his younger days.
