When Sakura Haruno was little, she was quiet and shy and was often teased about her large forehead until a popular girl, Ino Yamanaka befriended her and taught her to be more confident.
While shy on the outside, she is very fierce on the inside, evident by “Inner Sakura”, who pops up on occasion for comedic relief.
As Sakura and Ino grew older, Sakura’s confidence in herself grew and she developed a crush on Uchiha Sasuke. Her friendship with Ino turn sour when Sakura found out that Ino also have a crush on Sasuke, thus beginning a bitter rivalry of love between the two.
The two maintain this rivalry until the end of their match in the Chunin Exams, after which they begin to rekindle their friendship. Nevertheless, the two maintain a competitive relationship and constantly attempt to outdo the other.
Haruno Sakura’s greatest strength is her intelligence and memorization. This is most apparent in the Academy where Sakura is always first in class and can answer questions that others in her age group cannot.
While Sakura’s fighting style is very basic and lacks strength or bravery in the battlefield, she does excel at controlling her chakra to perfection as Hatake Kakashi states. This control allows her to execute all the basic ninjutsu that a ninja knows without a single flaw and mixed with some basic taijutsu, this makes Sakura tricky and sometimes very tough to deal with. She is also good at manipulating shuriken and the kunai, thus making her even more dangerous at long range.
Under the tutelage of the 5th Hokage, Tsunade, Sakura began to acquire unbelievable physical strength, being able to break through boulders with her bare hands due to her excellent chakra control. Adding to that, she has also become an excellent combat medic-nin with the ability to heal fatal injuries of others with relatively little effort.
There is no doubt that Sakura now possesses some significant knowledge of healing techniques and some great talent that may even one day be capable of surpassing her master…
